Cricket may not be the first sport that comes to mind when people think about popular sports in Malaysia, but the truth is that cricket has a long history and a loyal following in this country. From grounds in Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh, and Penang to pitches in Johor Bahru, many young Malaysians grew up with a cricket bat in hand. Now, with the highland99 platform, local cricket fans can engage more actively with every match they watch.
One thing that sets highland99 apart from other platforms is our focus on matches that truly matter to Malaysian users. This includes games featuring our national cricket team – Malaysia – in ICC Asian Cricket Council qualifiers. Many players on our platform follow Malaysia's matches closely, and we make sure the odds and markets for these games are fully available, not just for major international fixtures.
The Asia Cup is one of the most heavily bet tournaments on Highland99 among Malaysian players. From the match winner and top batsman to the number of runs scored in each over, it's all there.
T20 is the most popular format for betting – it's compact, fast-paced, and any single moment can swing the match dramatically. In just one over, a team can go from the brink of defeat to the edge of victory. That's what makes live T20 betting at Highland99 one of the most thrilling experiences around – you can place or adjust your bets every over, riding every momentum shift as it happens on the field.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a T20 competition that commands global attention, and Malaysian fans are no exception. With world-class players competing in a high-octane, highly entertaining format, every IPL match on Highland99 comes with competitive odds and a wide range of markets – including specials such as who will hit the first six, the total number of sixes in the match, and the most economical bowler.
For traditional cricket lovers who prefer Test Matches, Highland99 offers full coverage of prestigious series such as The Ashes (England vs Australia). Test cricket brings a completely different strategic dimension – you can bet on the overall series winner, individual match winners, or session-by-session markets. A practical guide to help you make smarter betting decisions
Pitch conditions in cricket have a significant influence on how a match plays out. Dry pitches favour spin bowlers, while green, damp surfaces give pace bowlers the upper hand. This directly affects the odds. At highland99, pitch statistics are provided to support your analysis.
Rain can disrupt or cancel ODI and Test matches, and this has a major impact on odds. The "Match to Be Completed" market is available at highland99 for exactly these situations. Always check the weather forecast for the match venue.
In T20, momentum can shift in an instant. When the favoured team loses several wickets in quick succession, their odds will spike – and this often presents a value opportunity. That said, only bet when you are genuinely confident the momentum will swing back in their favour.
Match winner markets tend to carry lower margins, but Top Batsman markets offer higher odds. If you follow individual player performance closely, this is an area where your knowledge can give you a real edge over the general market.
Cricket can run for hours – especially ODIs and Test Matches. Set your daily betting limit before you start and stick to it. The Highland99 platform provides deposit limit tools you can activate to help keep your spending in check.
